Crazy Ukrainians climb the Shanghai Tower. Not sure if the 650m height is just the tower or if that includes the construction crane that they climb on to the end of. Either way, if you can watch this whole thing without your stomach tying up in knots you're better than me. Even watching on the potato made me a lot queasy.

I think I've seen that video already. Madness. Just seeing the preview image makes my knees go soft a bit.

Oh man is this terrifying. How stupid do you have to be to do this?!?! Was the top of the tower not good enough or something? They just had to to the top of the practically vertical crane with no real ladder or railing. Man this gives me the creeps, especially because I'm scared of heights... ugh.

Also, it occurred to me while watching this that some of the people who work at this job site do pretty this exact thing every single day. NOPE.

Also also: can you imagine the climb back down?!

I would never climb that high. I don;t like the swaying of tall buildings, and it must be a huge amount of swaying up that high.

I would freeze up so bad. But at least I would do it long before I even got close to the crane. The shot where he is sitting on the wall dangling his feet over the edge is too much for me. Climbing down would be terrifying. Funny thing is if I somehow got transported to the tip of the crane if have an easier time BASE jumping than down climbing.

Me too. The only thing that could make me even consider doing this would be having a chute.

I barely managed to finish watching the video.

And at the very end, as the gloveless fellow was standing on the tippy-top, and his camera looked down on his partner's parachute pack...

"Wait. What are those zippers? Is that a... holy crap, is that just a backpack?!?"
